Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam was dismissed on a 2-ball duck by Mohammad Amir during PSL 2025. Azam’s poor form continued and fans trolled him mercilessly on social media.

For the second game of PSL 2025, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators were pitted against each other. Quetta batted first and posted a giant total of 216 runs on the board.

With the pressure of the chase building on, Zalmi’s captain and key opener Babar Azam disappointed the fans and scummed on a duck.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam opened the innings with Saim Ayub. On the final ball of the first over, Mohammad Amir of Quetta Gladiators struck gold by removing Babar for a duck.

It was a classic delivery from Amir, full, outside off, drawing Babar into a false stroke. The ball just held up slightly and kicked off the surface, and Babar, trying to ease it through the covers, could only chip it tamely to Rilee Rossouw at short cover.

The stadium went silent as one of PSL’s biggest stars was sent packing early, and Amir roared in celebration. Moreover, fans on social media further trolled Babar over his bad form, which has been persisting for years now. Many called him names and asked him to leave cricket for good.

Interestingly, Babar Azam reportedly picked up a right knee injury during a training session earlier this week.

But recent footage showed the classy right-handed batting freely and powerfully in the nets, working on his range-hitting with no visible discomfort. The latest visuals suggested the injury was nothing more than a minor setback.
