Babar dismissed for 0 [Source: @Jixo780/X.com]
A lot of fans in Pakistan wanted to see Babar Azam dominate the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, however, his party was spoiled by opposition bowler and his former Pakistan teammate, Mohammad Amir. The left-arm seamer had a point to prove and he delivered the goods by dismising Peshawar captain for duck.
Peshawar needed 217 runs to win their first match of the PSL 2025 season and for that, they needed Babar Azam to deliver. But Amir had some other plans as he bowled a perfect out-swinger to setup his former teammate.
He bowled a good length ball outside the off and Babar plays it slightly uppishly towards the short cover fielder who dived forward and grabbed a brilliant catch to send the skipper back for a 2-ball duck.

After the wicket, Mohammad Amir was all pumped up as he celebrated with all his mates and signalled at his shirt number to seemingly mock the Peshawar captain.
Mohammad Amir Vs Babar: war of words from Amir
Amir played under Babar's captaincy last year in the T20 World Cup, but has always been skeptical about his leadership and batting. He has consistently mocked the Pakistan batter for his performances at international level, however, Babar has never hit back with a response.
Zalmi in trouble chasing 217
The famed batting lineup of Zalmi needed a good start from their openers, but Babar departed for a duck and Mohammad Haris and Tom Kohler Cadmore also departed cheaply as things turned from bad to worse for the franchise.
The onus now lies on the shoulders of Saim Ayub who is making his comeback in cricket after a lengthy layoff.
