For the third fixture of PSL 2025, Karachi Kings will compete against Multan Sultans at the National Stadium in Karachi. The match will be played on April 12 beginning from 8.30 PM IST.

The Kings had a disappointing season in 2024, finishing in the bottom two of the points table with 4 wins in 10 games. However, for the 2025 season, Karachi have brought in a big name.

They signed former Australian batter David Warner during the draft process and named him captain. Here’s what the Kings’ playing XI could look like vs Multan Sultans.

David Warner To Open With Shan Masood

With David Warner in the squad, the opening combination of Karachi Kings is set. Since Kane Williamson is unavailable for the first few games, ex-Kings captain Shan Masood will likely open with Warner.

The Aussie is an explosive opener, with 12913 overall runs in the T20 format. Kings will rely a lot on him to give them the perfect start in the powerplay. Tim Seifert, who is in sublime form this year, will likely bat at no.3

Irfan Khan, Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Nabi are talented all-rounders who will anchor the middle and lower order.

Hasan Ali In Charge Of Pace Attack

The bowling attack of Karachi Kings is a blend of pace, spin, and experience. Abbas Afridi, a T20 bowler, is one of the most reliable wicket-takers in the PSL and provides firepower with the ball during the death overs.

Hasan Ali adds experience and fire. He has a reputation of performing under pressure with both a swing and slow ball. Moreover, Adam Milne, the New Zealand pacer, adds raw speed and bounce. When fully fit, Milne can rattle any batting lineup, especially during the powerplay and at the death.

The spin department is led by Nabi, a clever leg-spinner who can provide vital breakthroughs in the middle overs. Though, the form of Hasan Ali, Shan Masood and Khushdil Shah remains a concern for Karachi Kings.
