Karachi Kings have finalized their roster adjustments for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, securing Australian wicketkeeper-batter Ben McDermott and Pakistan U19 skipper Saad Baig as replacements.

Both these replacements are being made in the wake of injury woes in the squad of overseas players. As they are being named partial replacements, there is a possibility that PSL might see the injured players come back to play a few matches after their recovery.

Saad Baig Comes In As Partial Replacement For Williamson

The franchise has named rising star Saad Baig as a partial replacement for New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, who will miss the Karachi leg of the tournament. Williamson, initially placed in the Supplementary Category, is unavailable for this phase.

Baig, who previously featured in Karachi Kings’ Emerging Category squad, earned acclaim for his standout performances at the recent ICC U19 World Cup, solidifying his reputation as one of Pakistan’s brightest young prospects.

Ben McDermott Replaces Litton Das In Karachi Kings

In another development, Ben McDermott steps in for Bangladesh’s Litton Das, originally selected in the Silver Category during the HBL PSL 2025 draft, who was forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained during pre-tournament training. Subsequent scans confirmed a hairline fracture to Das.

The Australian player, renowned for his dynamic power-hitting and adaptability, adds significant T20 expertise to the squad. McDermott has showcased his skills in global leagues such as the Big Bash League (BBL) and The Hundred, making him a strategic addition to the Kings’ campaign.

Meanwhile, Karachi Kings are set to begin their PSL Season 10 journey on Saturday, facing off against Multan Sultans at 8 PM in what promises to be a thrilling clash.
