Bangladesh Under-19 obliterated their Nepal counterparts to remain unbeaten in the ongoing 2025 Under-19 Asia Cup in the UAE. Md Sobuj, Saad Islam and Shahriar Ahmed went on a wicket-taking spree for Bangladesh first up before opening batter Zawad Abrar knocked over Nepal in an easy run-chase.

Here, we take a look at the entire highlights of the eighth match of the 2025 Under-19 Asia Cup between Bangladesh Under-19 and Nepal Under-19, as it panned out at the 7he Sevens Stadium in Dubai on Monday, December 15.

Md Sobuj and Saad Islam steamroll Nepal for just 130

Nepal Under-19 batted first and bundled out for just 130 in 31.1 overs. After a 40-run opening stand between Sahil Patel and Niraj Kumar Yadav, Nepal slipped to 61-5 by 13 overs, thus losing their top five wickets in a space of just 21 runs. Abhisekh Tiwari at number eight top-scored in the innings through his mere 30-run effort, while wicketkeeper-batter Aashish Luhar carved 23 off 41 balls.

For Bangladesh Under-19, new ball strikers Saad Islam (2-32) and Md Sobuj (3-27) picked up five wickets between them. Shahriar Ahmed (2-10) and Azizul Hakim (2-18) mopped up the Nepal tail with two wickets each.

Zawad Abrar engulfs Nepal bowlers with easy fifty

Despite losing two early wickets to Abhisekh Tiwari and to a run out, Bangladesh Under-19 opener Zawad Abrar maintained his composure and compiled an elegant half-century. The cricketer notched up 70* runs from just 68 balls with seven fours and three huge sixes, and shared a 92-run match defining partnership with number four Kalam Siddiki (34 off 66).

While Siddiki got bested by Yuvraj Khatri at the brink of the finishing line, Rizan Hossan brought up the winning runs with a huge six as Bangladesh Under-19 continue to remain unbeaten in the ongoing 2025 Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup.
