Priyansh Arya is turning out to be a superstar signing for the Punjab Kings as the Delhi batter continues to raise his stocks with stellar performances. He scored a breath-taking hundred earlier in the tournament and since then hasn't looked back as the opener has dominated the proceedings for his team.

In the ongoing IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Priyansh, alongside fellow opener Prabhsimran Singh tore apart the Knight Riders bowling and he, himself smacked 69 off 35 balls with a strike rate of 197.14.
Just to showcase his domination, after more than half the season, Priyansh has the best strike rate by an Indian batter in the IPL 2025 season (minimum 200-runs). The next best is his PBKS captain, Shreyas Iyer, who is striking at 184.02.
Overall, Nicholas Pooran, the LSG batter tops the charts with an astonishing strike rate of 204.89. The KKR bowlers had no answer to the onslaught as the batter missed out on a well deserved century.
He added 120 runs for the opening wicket alongside Prabhsimran as the openers laid a foundation for a big total.
PBKS pushed back after brilliant start
With the platform set by the openers, the middle order batters had an easy path, but KKR bowlers bounced back as they picked up 3 quick wickets to push PBKS on the back-foot. Captain, Shreyas Iyer struggled for runs, and the likes of Glenn Maxwell and Marco Jansen departed cheaply as from a position of aiming for 220, the team lost quick-fire wickets.
At the time of writing, the Shreyas Iyer led side are 184/4, and still have 8 balls to make an impact and reach 200.
