Indian all-rounder Nitish Reddy stunned with the new ball to dismiss England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett in a single over during the 3rd Test at Lord’s. His surprising spell left the fans amazed on social media.

England opted to bat first after winning the toss at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Openers Crawley and Duckett had a steady partnership of 43 runs in the first hour.

Just when both batters appeared set on the crease, skipper Shubman Gill played a gamble with all-rounder Nitish Reddy.

While Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett played regular seamers Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, and Mohammed Siraj comfortably, Nitish Reddy left them startled in the 14th over, moments after the drinks break.

First, he dismissed Duckett with a short ball down leg that the batter edged to Pant for 23. Four balls later, he produced a beauty that angled in and nipped away, forcing Crawley to edge it to the keeper for 18.

With a dual wicket over, Reddy has become only the second Indian bowler to pick 2 wickets in their first over of a Test match. Irfan Pathan achieved the feat before when he picked up the infamous hat-trick against Pakistan in Karachi, 2006.

Fans, meanwhile, were surprised to see Reddy taking breakthroughs for India. Many showered praise on him on social media through heartwarming messages.

Meanwhile, England lost two wickets after a strong hour of play. However, the pitch still appears good for batting, and with Joe Root at the crease, the hosts will aim to bat as deep as possible.
