Manish Pandey is the captain of Hubli Tigers in Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024, and his team has started off the tournament with a comprehensive win against Mangaluru Dragons. Manish Pandey too showed his vintage hitting skills, and scored unbeaten 24 off just 14 balls to seal the chase for the defending champions.

The right-handed batter hit three boundaries in his knock, and one of those was the vintage down the ground hit for a boundary. It was the fifth boundary of the third over and Shreyas Gopal tossed it up on off. Manish Pandey cleared his front leg and tonked it over the bowler's head as the ball almost carried full distance.

However after checking with T.V umpire, it was given as a four as the ball bounced just ahead of the boundary cushions.

Hubli Tigers eventually won the game by 15 runs courtesy the VJD method and Tigers have once again made a strong statement early in the tournament. Along with being a consistent batter, Pandey has been a superb leader and under his leadership Gulbarga Mystics and Hubli Tigers have won Maharaja Trophy in 2022 and 2023 season respectively.
