In the previous game against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, despite dismissing half the side under 100 runs, the Capitals let the momentum slip as Andre Russell's fiery innings soared the target to 184 runs.

Later, in the chase, the star-studded batting order succumbed to pressure and gifted an easy win to the Knight Riders.

The defending champions, Gulf Giants, are finally back to winning ways after a series of painful losses. They defeated the Sharjah Warriors in a convincing victory on Sunday. 

Batting first, Shimron Hetmyer and Jamie Overton put up a 50+ run stand for the sixth wicket to post an above-par total of 187 runs, which proved to be too steep for the struggling Warriors lineup.

Sharjah Warriors have struggled with the willow all season long. Thus, the Giants backed themselves and bowled out the Warriors under 108 runs to seal a thumping 79-run victory.

That being said, the Giants' bowling lineup has come alive after a series of lackluster performances. It's important for the Gulf Giants to keep the momentum going, as playoff odds are still hanging in the balance.
