In the Vizag Test, former England captain Nasser Hussain has hailed the 'genius' of Jasprit Bumrah, attributing India's victory to the exceptional performance of the pace spearhead. Bumrah's magical spell, especially during England's first innings, proved to be the pivotal factor that led India to level the series at 1-1.

The second Test in Visakhapatnam witnessed a stellar display of skill from Bumrah as he claimed a total of nine wickets, including a devastating six-wicket haul in the first innings.

His remarkable bowling not only dismantled key English players like Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Ollie Pope but also left England with a significant deficit. This performance earned Bumrah the well-deserved title of Player of the Match.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Nasser Hussain emphasized the impact of Bumrah's brilliance, stating,

"It was a fantastic Test match. Outstanding pitch and outstanding teams competing fiercely with one another. England is fighting hard, as they usually do, in one way or another. They frequently blow a lead in the first inning, just like they did in the opening Test. However, they responded admirably with yesterday's performance. And Jasprit Bumrah's magic, in my opinion, was the true cause. Though he only managed three today, that first-inning spell of 6 for 40, destroyed England for 250 on a very good flat pitch.”

The former skipper acknowledged England's fightback but highlighted how Bumrah's exceptional bowling ultimately made the difference between the two sides.

Hussain pointed out Bumrah's unorthodox action and its effectiveness against Joe Root, stating,

"He is all over Joe Root at the moment and got him out 8 times in Tests."

Despite reverse swing playing a diminished role in contemporary cricket, Bumrah's unique approach has proven to be a game-changer.

With the five test match series level at 1-1, cricket fans can anticipate more thrilling encounters to come as the third match is scheduled for February 15th at Rajkot.
