On Wednesday, May 21, Delhi Capitals locked horns against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. The Capitals won the toss and opted to field first. Further, the visitors were forced to make couple of major changes to their playing XI as regular skipper Axar Patel missed out and Faf Du Plessis had to step in to lead DC against MI.
It is worth noting that Axar Patel developed high fever in the past couple of days and is still recovering from it. Meanwhile, with Faf Du Plessis leading Captials against MI, he has become the oldest captain in the history of Delhi Capitals. Notably, Du Plessis is 40 years and 312 days old. Further, he has become the 14th player to lead Delhi Capitals in IPL history.
