On Wednesday, May 21, Mumbai Indians hosted Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium for IPL 2025 match 63. DC's regular skipper Axar Patel was ruled out for the match because of bad flu and Faf du Plessis will lead the side. Meanwhile, the Capitals won the toss and opted to field first.
Talking about the two teams, Axar Patel misses out for Delhi, while Mumbai Indians have brought in Mitchell Santner in place of Corbin Bosch.
MI vs DC: Players Thoughts
Faf du Plessis : Axar is really sick in the last two days. We'll miss him today. We haven't been at our best in the last 5-6 games. Everyday there's a new opportunity. Wicket looks a bit dry, we're chasing. Axar is two players and it's difficult to replace him. We'll see how it goes.
Hardik Pandya : It's been under covers for a couple of days. We would have liked to bowl as well, but it's okay. Every game is important from now onwards, we want to play our best cricket. The boys are very excited.
