Ben Duckett notched up his second ODI century during the 32rd over before becoming the first of Travis Head’s four English victims of the evening.

The collective brilliance of the Australian spinners ensured that the Englishmen lost their final eight wickets for 107 runs after having reached 202-2 at one stage.

ENG vs AUS Highlights: Short, Travis Head Go Berserk With 78 Off Seven Overs

The duo leathered England’s new ball pace attack comprising of Matthew Short and Olly Stone before Brydon Carse delivered the first breakthrough with the wicket of Head (31 off 26).

His partner Matthew Short went on to notch up a whirlwind 23-ball half-century to take Australia past the 100-run mark within the first 10 overs of the run-chase itself.

Following his dismissal, middle-order batters Steve Smith (36* off 48) and Josh Inglis (28* off 20) navigated Australia to 165-2 in 20.4 overs before rains halted play in Bristol.
