On Wednesday, Trent Rockets' batter Grace Scrivens suffered a nasty injury during their game against the London Spirit Women at Trent Bridge, Nottingham during the 20th match of The Hundred Women 2024.

Interestingly during the first innings, Grace Scrivens' excellence shone bright as she scored her maiden fifty in the game off 41 balls.

However, the 20-year-old ENG batter, ended up with a nasty black eye and a huge bruise on her left cheek after she failed to grab onto the catch of Deepti Sharma.

During the game, Deepti swept a ball off Kirstie Gordon straight to Scrivens, the ball travelled through her hands and struck her right in the face. The blow was so nasty that her cheek began to swell up quickly and was then escorted off the field by the team's physio.

She looked absolutely shaken after that injury however, Grace was back on the field after her team's victory and her bruise looked more swollen than before.

Speaking about the incident, Katherine Sciver-Brunt said:

"That's going to be a juicy black eye that, for sure. She's not taken the sting out of that with her hands at all and it [the bruise] is getting bigger by the second. She needs to get off and ice that immediately. No wonder she didn't know where the ball was. None of us realised that hit her flush in the face. She didn't know much about that. I hope she's okay."

Eventually, The Trent Rockets Women outplayed London Spirit Women by 31 runs and with it kept their hopes alive in the tournament.
