The Trent Rockets Women took on the London Spirit Women in the 20th match of The Women's Hundred 2024. The Rockets put in a brilliant show at the Trent Bridge in the Nottingham in this game. 

The London Spirit Women won the toss and put the Trent Rockets to bat first. Grace Scrivens led the batting effort for the Rockets with a brilliant knock of 55 from 43 deliveries. The Trent Rockets went to post a formidable 158/5 at the end of their 100 balls. 


Ashleigh Gardner does what she is best at

The London Spirit needed a good start to chase the target down. The two openers gave them a steady start but Georgia Redmayne was struggling at one end. The Australian all-rounder and one of the key cogs in the Trent Rockets team, Ashleigh Gardner ended the struggles of Redmayne on the 22nd delivery of the innings as she cleaned her up with a beautiful arm ball. 

Gardner did not stop there, she followed it up immediately with one more wicket as she dismissed Cordelia Griffith in the next ball. This time Gardner deceived the batter with a flighted slower delivery. She invited Griffith to hit the big shot and was beaten by the loop in the delivery to be stumped by Wraith behind the stumps. 

Gardner later picked up the wicket of Danille Gibson and finished the game with a commendable of figure of three for 23 in her 20 balls.


These two wickets stunted the progress of the Spirit and they failed to stay at per with the required rates as their innings was ultimately restricted to 127/7 at the end of their 100 balls as the Trent Rockets picked up a convincing win by 31 runs.
