Trinbago Knight Riders crushed St Kitts & Nevis Patriots by seven wickets in a high-scoring chase in match number 25 of the CPL 2024 season at Trinidad’s Brian Lara Stadium.

Here’s the timeline of how TKR vs SKN panned out in Trinidad:

TKR vs SKN Highlights: Kyle Mayers Sets Up High-Scorer With A Swift 60

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots lost opening batter Evin Lewis courtesy of some sharp turn from Akeal Hosein in the first over of the match. The early wicket was followed by a counterattacking 99-run partnership shared between captain Andre Fletcher and number three Kyle Mayers, during which the latter pounded 60 swift runs from just 30 deliveries with eight boundaries and three huge sixes.

While Chris Jordan had Mayers caught-and-bowled around the halfway stage of the innings, the Patriots had already soared past the 100-run mark in less than 11 overs around the same time period.

TKR vs SKN Highlights: Andre Fletcher’s 93 Takes SKN To 193

Rilee Rossouw at number four failed to match the early momentum laid out by Andre Fletcher and Kyle Mayers as the South African middle-order star managed a double-quick 20 from 11 balls before mistiming one off Jayden Seales.

Fletcher, on the other end, marched on to smear his third half-century of the CPL 2024 season with a 93-run knock from just 61 balls. The Patriots skipper smacked four boundaries and six huge sixes and shared a whirlwind 63-run stand with silent partner Mikyle Louis (10* off 14) to take his team to 193-4 by the completion of their innings.

TKR vs SKN Highlights: Jason Roy Sets Off Chase With 64 Off 34

Firebrand Trinbago Knight Riders opener Jason Roy ensured his team stayed afloat with the asking rate by making 64 runs from just 34 balls during his attacking partnerships with Keacy Carty (13 off 15) and Nicholas Pooran. The early loss of Carty at the hands of Kyle Mayers made little difference to Knight Riders’ cause as it allowed an early arrival for dangerman Pooran.

Roy shared 43 runs for the opening wicket and another 73 runs with the wicketkeeper-batter to blaze TKR to 116 in just 11 overs before misreading Tabraiz Shamsi.

TKR vs SKN Highlights: Nicholas Pooran’s Six-Laden Party Crashes Patriots

With 78 runs more required from the remaining nine overs, Nicholas Pooran levelled the Patriots bowling attack through his unbeaten knock off 93* from 43 balls with six boundaries and seven huge sixes.

He formed an unbroken 58-run partnership with captain Kieron Pollard (10* off 7) to haul Knight Riders to a successful run-chase with seven wickets and nine balls to spare.
