St Lucia Kings handed Antigua & Barbuda Falcons a seven-wicket larruping in match number six of the CPL 2024 season at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

Here’s the timeline of how ABF vs SLK panned out in St Kitts:

ABF vs SLK Highlights: Roston Chase Gets The First Breakthrough For Kings

Antigua & Barbuda Falcons openers Justin Greaves and Fakhar Zaman raced to a wicketless start of 30 runs in the first four overs of the match. In a bid to straightaway attack the oncoming off-spinner Roston Chase, Fakhar holed himself out by an agile Khary Pierre at 35-1.

Number three batter Kofi James also did not last long at the crease, considering he was cleaned up by Pierre as the Falcons reached 67-2 at the halfway stage of the innings.

ABF vs SLK Highlights: Noor Ahmad Stop-Starts Falcons In Sluggish 142-Run Total

Well-set opening batter Justin Greaves belted five boundaries during his 26-ball stay at the crease to top-score for his side with 36 runs. After he became David Wiese’s sole wicket of the evening at 87-4, St Lucia Kings’ Afghanistan import Noor Ahmad tore through Falcons’ middle-order with a scintillating three-fer.

Ahmad (3-18) removed dangermen Jewel Andrew, Sam Billings and Fabian Allen all in quick succession as the Falcons slipped to 110-6 by the end of 17 overs. Imad Wasim added an unbeaten 29 at the death to stretch the Falcons total to 142-7.

ABF vs SLK Highlights: Faf Du Plessis Leads Kings Way In Electric Start

Chasing 143 runs for a win, St Lucia Kings captain and opening batter Faf du Plessis clobbered five boundaries and a six in his 28-run knock from just 15 deliveries. Sharing 36 runs in less than four overs with opening partner Johnson Charles, Plessis eventually became the first wicket to fall in the run-chase courtesy of Imad Wasim.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa also made his way back to the pavilion a couple of overs later as he was deceived by Antigua & Barbuda Falcons captain Chris Green at 62-2 in 7.2 overs.

ABF vs SLK Highlights: Charles Anchors, Tim Seifert Blazes Kings To Big Win

Ackeem Auguste at number four cracked a couple of sixes upon his arrival to shape 27 runs from 20 balls. While he was trapped plumb in front by Fabian Allen, opening batter and perennial CPL legend Johnson Charles remained unbeaten throughout the innings and listed a near run-a-ball 47.

Tim Seifert launched three sixes and a boundary to slap 11-ball 26* to blaze the St Lucia Kings to a huge seven-wicket victory in just 17 overs.
