On November 6, India star Shreyas Iyer has been in sensational form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite 2024-2025. The elegant batter slammed another century in the India domestic circuit. Iyer made sure to keep the selectors under pressure with a stunning knock against Orissa at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy, Mumbai.

Shreyas Iyer has not been in India's red-ball scheme of things lately; he has been looked out for due to poor form. Recently, Iyer ended a three-year wait for a First-Class century as he slammed maiden century against Maharashtra, where he later departed after well-made 142 runs off 182 balls. The last time he scored century was against New Zealand in Kanpur Test in 2021.

The right-handed batter stepped on to bat at no five against Orissa, and soon after, he slammed his 15th first-class century off 101 balls and maintained his form with back-to-back centuries. This knock comes after his surprising release from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Shreyas Iyer Shines In First Class Cricket

It is worth noting Shreyas Iyer missed Mumbai's last Ranji match against Tripura at Agartala because of an injury. In the first class cricket, the 29-year old has scored 6055 runs in 78 matches with an average of 47.67, including 15 centuries and 33 fifties.

At the time of writing, Mumbai are at 337 for 3 in 80 overs, with Shreyas Iyer and Siddhesh Lad at the crease, 117* and 107*.
