Rishabh Pant has had his fair share of anger issues in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was involved in the famous incident in 2022, when the Delhi Capitals skipper asked his batters to walk off the field, protesting against an unfair no-ball decision.

In another incident in the ongoing match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Pant once again fumed at the on-field umpire and had a heated argument.

The incident occurred in the 4th over when Ishant Sharma bowled a down the leg delivery and Devdutt Padikkal failed to get a bat on it, and the umpire signalled it a wide. Pant has a discussion with one of his teammate regarding challenging the decision of the umpire and it seemed as if he had signalled for a DRS.


The umpire saw his signal and referred it upstairs. The replays clearly showed that it was a wide decision and DC lost an unnecessary review. However, post the replay, Pant had an animated chat with the umpire, signalling that he never meant to take the review and the umpire misunderstood his signal. But once a decision is taken in IPL, it can't be reversed, and Pant looked furious with it.

Talking about the match, LSG opted to bat first and have already lost the wickets of Quinton de Kock, Padikkal, and Marcus Stoinis. At the moment, LSG are 66/3.
