Sanju Samson To Drop Avesh Khan? Rajasthan Royals Probable XI For IPL 2024 Match Vs PBKS

Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals has been playing some brilliant cricket this season but suffered an unexpected loss in their last game against Gujarat Titans. They will be up against Punjab Kings in their next match at Mullanpur and would be looking to get back to winning ways, against a PBKS unit that has blown hot and cold.

RR boasts of a settled unit and one loss would most probably not deter their plans. However, the conditions at Mullanpur would be different than they were in Jaipur, and they might prefer an extra pacer in place of Keshav Maharaj in this game.

If Burger and Sandeep Sharma are fit, they can fit in for Maharaj and Avesh Khan, but there is still lack of clarity on their fitness status. Out of the two, Burger has better chances of getting fully fit and he might play against PBKS.

The rest of the squad will remain the same with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler at the top of the order. Jaiswal has not got going so far, but rest of the batters like Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag have scored runs and that is a great sign for RR.

They need to improve their death-bowling though, and that is where they need the likes of Trent Boult, Burger and Indian pacers to step up. Chahal has been brilliant as usual while Ashwin has also done his job perfectly both with the bat and ball.
