KL Rahul, one of the most consistent batters in the IPL, is yet to have a memorable in the ongoing edition. However, the 31-year-old did not take much time to break the shackles on Friday (April 12), when LSG went up against Delhi Capitals at Ekana Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Rahul went hard against Khaleel Ahmed during the third over of LSG’s innings. Khaleel, one of the most dangerous bowlers in the DC setup, bowled full and outside the off stump. Rahul did not need to take much risk, as he showed composure with a flat-batted lofted drive over extra cover for six runs.

Meanwhile, LSG have lost Quinton de Kock early to Khaleel Ahmed within the Powerplay. Nevertheless, Rahul is going strong from the other end, scoring 16* off 7 deliveries at the time of writing this. Devdutt Padikkal, from the other end, has just lost his wicket to Khaleel as well, as LSG have slipped to 41/2 after 4.2 overs, with Marcus Stoinis coming at No. 4 ahead of Nicholas Pooran.
