KL Rahul, the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants has won an important toss at his home ground and has decided to bat first. LSG have won all their home games so far and would be looking to continue that momentum against a DC unit that has blown hot and cold so far.

Delhi Capitals have some good news though as far as their team combination is concerned with Indian star bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar back.  Along with these two, DC have also handed a debut to Jake Fraser-McGurk who is a powerful middle order batter and also have a solid Shai Hope back for this game.

Here are the playing XIs of both the sides -

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Shai Hope, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed.

Lucknow Super Giants: Lokesh Rahul (c & wk), Quinton de Kock, Devdutt Padikkal, Nicholas Pooran (vc), Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Arshad Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Naveen ul Haq, Yash Ravisingh Thakur.

IMPACT SUBSTITUTES:

Lucknow Super Giants: Krishnappa Gowtham, Deepak Hooda, Manimaran Siddharth, Amit Mishra, Matt Henry.

Delhi Capitals: Jhye Richardson, Abishek Porel, Kumar Kushagra, Sumit Kumar, Pravin Dubey.

This is what captains said -

KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "We will bat first. I don't have an answer to that. But yeah, look, we can't go by the numbers. We want to start fresh again. This is the first time we are playing on the surface. Looks like a good wicket. I think it's going to stay true for the entire 40 overs, and we don't think dew is going to play much part.

mean, you know, once you come onto the ground and you can play good cricket and express yourself, you can bat well, you can bowl well, the outfield, the conditions here will favor a bit of bowling as well. In the end, it's with big boundaries. So that's a bit of help. And there's been a bit of bounce in the couple of games that we played. So the bowlers enjoy playing here, and batters this year, since the wickets have become pretty good, batters are enjoying it too. So it's just a good environment in the dressing room; the crowd's been brilliant. The three games that we played here, it's been packed houses.

Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals Captain): "We would have batted first also. There are some things you can control and some things that you can't.We are just trying to find our best XI. Few players who were initially part of the XI got injured. We have to find a backup option, can't do much about it.We have 2 changes, Mukesh comes back in and Kuldeep is fit again so he comes back as well. They are our key players. They were injured but now we are looking forward to see them back on the field and let's hope they're gonna do well for us."

LSG have made only one change by bringing in Arshad Khan in place of injured Mayank Yadav. So, both the teams have quality in their arsenal and the pitch has some grass on it, so we might see a bit of a high-scoring game than what has been the trend so far at Lucknow.

KL Rahul & Co. have been defending targets quite well so far and with the home crowd behind them, we might see another strong performance. Also, this might just be the game where KL Rahul unleashes his might, and let’s see how things pan out in this battle of two star Indian wicketkeepers.
