Mustafizur Rahman has been one of the most high-profile Bangladesh bowlers for quite a long time now. He has played T20 leagues across the globe and is a gun-T20 bowler. His ODI numbers have not been great in recent past, but he seems to be back at his best now, and in the first ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan, he has demolished the top-order with an excellent spell.
The left-arm seamer was introduced into the attack in the 8th over in place of Taskin Ahmed. Afghanistan were 30 for 1 at that point in time and on the second delivery, the Fizz delivered with a big wicket of dependable Rahmat Shah. It was a typical left-arm seamer delivery, angling across the right-hander and Rahmat Shah's tentative poke led to his downfall. Mustafizur Rahman gave away four runs in that over, but the next over turned out to be an even better one as Sediqullah Atal and Azmatullah Omarzai were both sent back to the hut.

The wicket of debutant Atal was off a full delivery, angling into middle and leg which the left-hander missed and was given out LBW. The wicket of Omarzai was off a typical Mustafizur delivery where he bowled a cutter, and the batter only managed an outside edge back to the keeper.
The wicket of Amatullah Omarzai reduced Bangladesh to 35 for 4 in the 10th over as the first wicket of Gurbaz was bagged by Taskin Ahmed in the second over of the match. It is a perfect start for Bangladesh and they would now be looking to bowl out Afghanistan as quickly as possible and take a 1-0 lead in the series by chasing down as low a total as possible.
