On the flip side, the Royal Challengers are in the third position with 6 points from 7 matches, winning three and losing 4 fixtures. When it started with a couple of wins, everyone thought that this could be their year. But they lost their way in the middle of the competition, losing four of their last five matches, including a defeat against their counterparts in the reverse fixture. MI hammered RCB in their own backyard by seven wickets in the previous meeting.
Given UP Warriorz have lost their last league game against Gujarat Giants, the pressure will be slightly lesser on RCB to make a move. Anyways, for now, Royal Challengers Bangalore have destiny in their own hands, and a win against MI in their final league game will put them in the playoffs. Else they have to sit and prey that Gujarat Giants don't win against Delhi Capitals by a massive margin.
