Batting first, the RCB side started off brilliantly as they lost their first wicket for 61. Virat Kohli (70) and Devdutt Padikkal (50) helped the home side post 205 on the board after the end of the 20 overs, on a wicket that looked decent for batting with some extra zip on offer for the pacers.
In reply, Rajasthan started off in absolute fire, where the youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi helped them put a 50-run stand on the board inside five overs. With the departure of Suryavanshi for 16, Yashasvi Jaiswal went on to score 49 off a blistering 19 deliveries with three maximum sixes. Jaiswal departed inside six overs whereas Riyan Parag and Nitish Rana batted decently for a few overs. Nitish Rana scored 28 while Riyan Parag played a cameo of 22 from 10 deliveries.
