On Wednesday, April 23, Mumbai Indians locked horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. It was a comfortable win for the Hardik Pandya-led side as the five-time winners handed SRH a seven-wicket defeat.
With the win, MI moved to third on the table while the campaign is nearly over for Sunrisers Hyderabad. It has been a good campaign for captain Hardik Pandya, who is doing well as a leader and also shone as a player. Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami, who was left out of the game because of his poor run, hogged the internet after he asked for Pandya's autograph after the game.

A video has been doing rounds on the internet, where Shami, brought India's Champions Trophy jersey and asked Pandya to sign. The MI skipper was gracious enough and also hugged the India star bowler after obliging to his demand. Watch the incident here.
Hardik Pandya Rewinds Old Days With Shami At GT
It was a reunion between Hardik and Shami as the two were also a part of the Gujarat Titans set-up. Notably, Shami played under Pandya's captaincy in 2022, where the star all-rounder also led Gujarat to their maiden IPL title.
The two had also hogged the internet for wrong reasons as Hardik had shouted at Shami on the ground for sloppy fielding that didn't go well with the veteran bowler. The two did resolve the issue and continue to remain great friends.
Talking about the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025, it was Shami's first ICC event since the 2023 World Cup and the right-arm seamer took nine wickets in five innings, which was of great contribution for the Indian team as they went on to win the title.
