For his outstanding spell of 3/12 in the four overs, Imad Wasim is chosen as player of the match for his significant contribution. His spell was crucial mainly due to the fact that wickets fell regularly in the powerplay. He kept building pressure which caused the batters to take chances against him.

Another game of cricket that gave us plenty of action. Islamabad batted first and had a rollicking start to their innings with Alex Hales and Martin Guptill finding boundaries at the beginning. Runs were easily flowing for them until the loss of fourth wicket after which Quetta found wickets after wickets to reduce them to nine down for 174 when even 200 were looking possible at one stage. Agha Salman played a fine hand too in the middle with 31.

Second innings began in a tussle for Quetta who lost five wickets in no time with Imad Wasim striking thrice in that period. Quetta were reeling at 16 for five at one stage . But some resilience from Omair Yousuf and Akeal Hosein provided some runs at the backend. Two run-outs damaged their chances even further and there was no coming back. In the end, they could only score 135 all-out, handing Islamabad a win by 39 runs and a place in the eliminator two.
