Kuldeep Yadav proved to be India's hero in sending England's gritty lower-order batter Ollie Robinson back in the critical third-innings of the Ranchi Test. The Indian wrist-spinner, showcased his class and artistry to dismiss Robinson in the post-tea session during the England second-innings.

After Robinson survived an early LBW shout, the skill-full Indian spinner eventually got his man in the same manner, having forced him to commit to the front foot before turning one sharply past his inside edge to hit the pad and on this occasion, even the DRS couldn't save the England No.9.

Robinson had earlier managed to overturn a decision by umpire Kumar Dharmasena since the ball hit his glove, not the pad, following an attempted reverse sweep. However, on this occasion, he missed the delivery completely and the technology vindicated the decision given by the standing official.

Kuldeep, who got Stokes earlier, would've been delighted to have set up Robinson for the incomer which evaded the batter's inside edge and also his glove to hit him plumb in front of the stumps. The dismissal came at a crucial juncture in the third-innings as England strived to extend their first-innings advantage.

Robinson had added a priceless 58 to England's tally in the first half of the Test match during a great partnership with centurion Joe Root that allowed the tourists to reach an imposing score of 353 all out.

But he was out for a duck as India didn't miss the trick with their bowling changes on this occasion and introduced Kuldeep, the wily bowler, at him early into his innings.

It was Kuldeep's fourth wicket of the innings and dented England's quest to post a sizeable target, with the visitors reduced to 133/8 after taking a first-innings lead of 46.
