The cricketing world was treated to an unforgettable and joyous moment as India clinched the T20 World Cup trophy in Barbados on June 29. Adding a touch of entertainment to the victory celebration, captain Rohit Sharma imitated the iconic strut of wrestling legend Ric Flair, with the latter approving the move himself.

The Indian cricket team is the World T20 Champions. They eliminated their decade-long ICC trophy drought by beating South Africa in a thrilling finale in Barbados on Saturday.

With SA needing 31 off 30 deliveries, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya bowled tight spells to leave the Proteas 7 runs short of the 177 runs chase.

The scenes at Barbados were jubilant and emotional as India not only ended its trophy drought but also won a nearly lost contest. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma added extra flair to the winning celebrations while collecting the trophy.

As Rohit Sharma walked towards BCCI secretary Jay Shah to collect the T20 World Trophy, he recreated Wrestling legend Ric Flair's iconic strut to make his way to the winning podium in style.

Interestingly, Hall of famer Ric Flair, the 16-time world wrestling champion known for his flamboyant personality and signature strut, approved the moment by reposting the video on his social media handle.

His enthusiastic response further amplified the joy surrounding India's victory and highlighted the cultural crossover between cricket and wrestling.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli formally announced their retirement from T20Is following the finale and officially handed over the baton to the next generation.
