Indian speedsters Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar collectively demolished South Africa within a session on Day 1 of their series-deciding second Test match at Cape Town.

Siraj collected six South African scalps to register his career-best Test figures. At the same time, Bumrah and Kumar accounted for the remaining four wickets on offer to envelop hosts for just 55 after stand-in skipper Dean Elgar had opted to bat first.

At a time when Siraj was reaping the benefits of Newlands' pristine bowling conditions to its fullest, his senior teammate Virat Kohli made a unique gesture to the tunes of the 'Ram Siya Ram' song playing in the stadium.

Batting veteran Virat Kohli posed like Lord Ram on Day 1 of India's series-deciding second Test match against South Africa at Cape Town. When the song 'Ram Siya Ram' reverberated around the Newlands Cricket Ground, the cricketer folded his hands and made a striking pose of Lord Ram by acting like he was pulling out a bowstring.

The incident occurred shortly after South African lower-order batter Keshav Maharaj made his way to the crease.

On the cricketing front, Virat Kohli punched out scores of 38 and 76 at Centurion in the first Test of their series last week. Despite his best counterattacking efforts in both innings, Team India slumped to a defeat by an innings and 32 runs.

The ongoing series marks Kohli's return to competitive cricket following the conclusion of the 2023 World Cup in India back in November.
