Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) celebrated their historic third Indian Premier League (IPL) title triumph with a massive victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at MA Chidambaram Stadium on last Sunday.

Amidst the celebration, a touching and emotional moment between KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan and Gautam Gambhir grabbed the limelight.

The Bollywood star was over the moon after his team defeated Pat Cummins & Co. by eight wickets in the IPL 2024 final.

Following the dominant victory, SRK expressed his gratitude to his players in a heartwarming manner. In a moment that went viral, he even celebrated with the champions and what made headlines was when he planted a kiss on Gautam Gambhir's forehead.

He lovingly held Gambhir's forehead and kissed it, the moment captured a memorable and touching scene that commemorated emotional essence.

The atmosphere within the KKR camp was electric as Gautam Gambhir lifted the cherished trophy alongside Sunil Narine, a cornerstone of the team.

Narine's exceptional performance throughout the season earned him the title of Most Valuable Player, showcasing his unwavering commitment and skill on the field.

Amidst the jubilation, Shah Rukh Khan shared a heartfelt embrace with Mitchell Starc, the team's prized acquisition from the IPL auction. Starc's stellar contributions in crucial matches, particularly in the Qualifier and the final, underscored his significance as a vital player for KKR.

Shah Rukh Khan shared a warm moment with head coach Chandrakant Pandit along the boundary rope.

Will Gautam Gambhir continue with KKR?

Even though Gautam Gambhir returned to the KKR only this year, there is a possibility that he might relinquish his mentorship role if the BCCI appoints him as Team India's head coach. Gambhir is among the top contenders to replace Rahul Dravid, who is set to depart after the T20 World Cup

While no official statements have been made by either party confirming or denying Gambhir's candidature, he is widely reported to be leading the race for the head coach position.
