Talismanic Pakistani batter Babar Azam stands as a prominent figure in the cricketing world, earning admiration from experts, fans, and players like Virat Kohli, Usman Khawaja, and Aaron Finch for his batting prowess.

Despite hailing from a nation renowned for producing quality fast bowlers, Babar has garnered recognition with the bat in hand, not only within Pakistan and the Asian subcontinent but also across the globe. However, he seems to lack popularity among girls outside of Asia.

In a recent social media trend, a video featuring Babar Azam circulated, wherein an anchor presented his photo to nine random girls, prompting them to choose between 'date' or 'pass.' Disappointingly for Babar, each girl chose to 'pass,' indicating their reluctance to go on a date with the former Pakistani captain.

The video is taken in a country that is yet to be verified, but by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like an Asian country.

Often hailed as Pakistan's one of the most consistent and reliable batters, Babar Azam faced disappointment during the three-match Test series against Australia, extending his struggles post the World Cup.

Failing to secure a single fifty-plus score in the series, he faced criticism for his performance. However, he made a strong comeback in the subsequent T20I series in New Zealand, registering three consecutive fifties.

While Babar has been a prolific batter for Pakistan in recent years, he has encountered his fair share of lows. Criticism mounted during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, where he faced scrutiny for his batting and captaincy. Despite scoring 320 runs in nine innings at an average of 40, his below-par strike rate of 82.90 drew criticism. Following Pakistan's failure to progress in the ICC tournament, Babar stepped down as captain. Although reports are suggesting a possible reinstatement, no official confirmation has been provided.

Recently, Babar turned up for Rangpur Riders to light up the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 with his batting. The 29-year-old delivered commendable performances, accumulating over 200 runs at an average exceeding fifty, upholding his reputation on the field. He also left the tournament as the highest run scorer.
