On Sunday, June 8, Tennis sensations Carlos Alcaraz and Janick Sinner scripted history as the two rising stars played out the longest final in the history of the French Open. After 5 hours and 29 minutes, the Spaniard got the better of his Italian Counterpart and successfully defended his title. 

The 22-year-old won his fifth Grand Slam title and was the talk of the town on the internet for his scintillating display in Paris. While Tennis is a global sport, cricket is trying to become one. Nonetheless, Virat Kohli has certainly acted as a catalyst to spread global awareness of the sport and more and more people taking up cricket across Europe.

A Section of fans also assumed the commentary to be from the 2025 French Open final, but for the unversed, it is an old clip from 2023, when Alcaraz locked horns against Stefanos Tsitsipas in French Open.
