On June 3, 2025, RCB beat Punjab Kings by six runs to lift their first-ever IPL trophy. The fans and the internet went berserk as Virat Kohli got his hands on the prestigious trophy for the first time in the history. Meanwhile, the RCB Insta handle posted several celebratory posts, but the 'Champions' post, now has garnered 6.7 million likes, the most for any cricket post on Instagram by a team.

RCB Shatter Instagram Records During IPL 2025
The 18th edition of IPL started on March 22 and within the first week of the recently concluded edition, the defending champions shattered Instagram records as they became the first IPL team to cross 20 million followers.
They beat the likes of Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians to script this feat. At present, CSK are placed second on the list with 18.6 million followers, while MI have 18 million. Thus, it is of no surprise that RCB now hold the record for most-liked post on Instagram by a team.
Virat Kohli Owns The Insta Game
Talking about the individual front, Virat Kohli, who is the most followed Asian on Instagram, has the top-four most-liked cricket post on Instagram. Virat's post after the T20 World Cup win has 22.5 million likes. Meanwhile, his recent post for RCB's win has 19.8 million.
Kohli's post on his Test retirement and Anushka's birthday are placed 3rd and fourth on the list respectively.
