Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and young batting dynamite Tilak Varma also took to social media to share glimpses of their family celebrations, offering fans a festive peek.
Both cricketers will soon be linking up with the Indian team for the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE.
Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma Go Festive Before National Duty
On Wednesday, August 27, i.e., on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Indian T20I captain and senior batter Suryakumar Yadav took to his social media account to share pictures of himself alongside with his wife Devisha Shetty, where the two can be seen seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha amidst the warmth of their home celebrations.
In the caption, Suryakumar Yadav wrote: “Ganpati Bappa Morya”
His T20I and Mumbai Indians protégé Tilak Varma also immersed himself in the festive occasion alongside his family members. Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, the 22-year-old cricketer shared pictures of his family celebrations via his Instagram account. Notably, Tilak Varma even placed his bat next to the idol of Lord Ganesha, symbolically seeking divine blessings for his cricketing journey ahead.
Both Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma were selected in Team India squad earlier this month for the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
While Suryakumar and Tilak both recently represented the Mumbai Indians franchise together in the IPL 2025 season, the latter also had a short stint with the Hampshire cricket club in England for a handful of County Championship and One-Day Cup games.
