Indian cricket has seen its share of legends, but a true entertainer like Shikhar Dhawan, both on and off the field, is one of a kind. Along with unreal batting brilliance, Dhawan’s off-field witty character often entertains fans.

But even after retiring from cricket, Dhawan grabbed the headlines for something different. Recently, he splashed a staggering 69 crore on a luxury apartment, turning heads with his new investment.

Dhawan’s Luxurious Purchase

In the history of Indian cricket, a talented left-handed batter like Shikhar Dhawan is rare. Known for his explosive batting and fearless approach, he’s a force to reckon with at the crease. His sharp footwork and offside dominance have kept fans thoroughly entertained. Even after hanging up his boots from cricket last year, he grabs headlines again.

As per the latest reports, the former Indian batter has purchased a luxury apartment at DLF’s The Dahlias with a whopping amount of 65.61 crore, with a stamp duty of 3.28 crore. Reports suggest the lavish 6,040-square-foot property is situated in Gurugram’s Sector 54.

Spreading over 17 acres, the Dahlias are one of the most expensive and luxurious residential projects in India. According to the reports, Dhawan's luxurious apartment is situated on the 24th floor of Tower 1 and comes with five parking slots.

Dhawan’s Illustrious Career

Shikhar Dhawan’s rise in Indian cricket was pleasing to watch as the Delhi-based left-hander stunned the cricket world with their masterclass. In 34 Tests, Team India’s Gabbar scored 2315 runs. In limited-overs cricket, he transformed into a powerhouse, scoring 6,793 runs in 167 ODIs and 1,759 runs across 68 T20Is.

In the IPL arena, Gabbar created his magic, scoring 6769 runs in 222 matches along with 2 hundreds and 51 half-centuries. He was the first player in IPL to smash consecutive centuries. Adding to this, he also holds the record of hitting the most boundaries in the IPL. Though he’s bid farewell to the game, Shikhar Dhawan remains etched in fans’ hearts as the Gabbar of Indian cricket.
