Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has taken a strong stand against Pakistan for violating the ceasefire understanding with India. 3 hours into the mutual call, Pakistan fired drones into Indian territory on May 10, 2025.
After days of serious tensions and a war-like situation, India and Pakistan mutually decided to hold a ceasefire from 5.00 PM on Saturday evening to May 12. As per the understanding, both sides were expected to respect international borders and maintain peace.
However, after 8.00 PM on May 10, Pakistan violated the ceasefire, firing countless drones across several border cities, including Srinagar and Kutch.
Shikhar Dhawan Reacts To Pakistan’s Cowardice Act
Meanwhile, since the Indian Ministry of External Affairs confirmed violation of the ceasefire by Pakistan, people of India, including celebrities, have been slamming Pakistan left, right, and centre.
Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan strongly condemned the drone attack, saying the filthy nation of Pakistan showed its true colours by going back on its word.
Apart from Dhawan, cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Rahul Tewatia also reacted strongly.
Notably, since the tensions between India and Pakistan escalated in the last few days, the BCCI suspended IPL 2025 for a week.
IPL 2025 Resumption Under Threat After Fresh Attack
After India and Pakistan agreed to de-escalate the tensions on the evening of May 10, reports of IPL 2025’s resumption from May 15 surfaced. The league was suspended following a security threat during the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match on May 8. However, with Pakistan resorting to violations of peace, the resumption of IPL in the near future appears unlikely.
