Shah Rukh Khan Arrives In Eden Gardens To Support KKR In Campaign Opener Against SRH

The co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan, has been spotted supporting the team at Eden Gardens as they open their IPL 2024 campaign against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

Shah Rukh Khan is a dedicated supporter of his team; every time he gets a chance, he comes to the stadium to support them. Notably, the Kolkata Knight Riders have won two IPL titles. 


Shah Rukh Khan isn't just about the IPL; he shows up for all his teams worldwide. Whether it's a cash-rich league or other leagues, he's always there cheering them on. He was even spotted at the ILT20 league rooting for his team, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. 

The Kolkata Knight Riders have received a huge uplift with the return of their captain, Shreyas Iyer, who is rejoining the team after missing the entire IPL 2023 due to a back injury. 

Furthermore, the team has welcomed back their two-time title-winning captain, Gautam Gambhir, in the role of mentor. It's worth noting that Gambhir stepped down from his mentoring duties at Lucknow Super Giants to rejoin the KKR.

As for the match, the Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bowl first. This choice paid off as they quickly reduced the Kolkata Knight Riders were reduced 51/4 within eight overs, with their captain, Shreyas Iyer, being dismissed for a two-ball duck.  

However, collabartion between Ramandeep Singh and Phil Salt pulled the two-time champions out of trouble. At the time of publishing, the scorecard is reading 129-6 after 15.1 overs.
