Rohit Sharma rediscovered his rhythm in one-day cricket during the second ODI between India and Australia. The Mumbai Indians star played a composed and impressive knock of 73 runs off 97 balls, helping his team recover from an early collapse.

While Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill fell cheaply, Rohit looked in fine touch despite a cautious start. The Adelaide Oval witnessed a full house, and every time Rohit unleashed his trademark pull shot or lofted a massive six, the crowd erupted in applause.

Rohit Sharma's massive 'Mumbai cha Raja' fan base was clearly visible, as Indian supporters filled the stands with chants for their icon, proving that his popularity remains undiminished even in Australia.

Rohit's massive fanbase surrounds him in Australia

After the match, Rohit Sharma delighted fans with his warmth and humility. As he exited the stadium, he greeted supporters with a big smile and even accepted gifts from them.

In a viral video shared by OneCricket, Rohit was seen meeting a little girl and her sisters, giving them a warm hug and posing for pictures. The heartwarming gesture made the young fans’ day as Rohit moved through a crowd eager for selfies. Watch the clip here.

One admirer presented him with collage portraits, which he gladly accepted. Surrounded by enthusiastic fans, Rohit ensured everyone got a chance for a quick photo.

Rohit returns to SCG after 6 years

Now, Rohit Sharma will aim to continue his form as he returns to the Sydney Cricket Ground after six long years. His last innings there was a remarkable 133, though in a losing cause.

With an impressive average of 66.60 from five matches at the venue, Rohit will look to add another big score in the third ODI on October 25, even though the match is a dead rubber, with Australia already having sealed the series 2-0.
