Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer is making headlines again, but this time not for his performance on the field. In a behind-the-scenes video from a fun shoot, IPL content creator Sahiba Bali called Iyer rude for not inviting her to visit his gym.

Iyer, who led KKR to an IPL title win in 2024, has joined PBKS this year. In the mega auction, he was paid INR 26.75 crore from the franchise and he also assumed the role of captaincy.

Moreover, in the first 3 games of the IPL 2025 season, Punjab has started well, winning 2 and losing the last game to RR.

Meanwhile, for the IPL 2025 season, PBKS hired famous social media influencer Sahiba Bali.  In the video, shared widely on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Shreyas Iyer and Sahiba are seen getting out of a vehicle during what seemed like a casual conversation about Iyer’s tattoos. 

The moment was meant to be lighthearted, but things took a turn when Iyer suddenly walked away, saying he had to go to the gym.

Sahiba caught off guard, jokingly said, “Very rude, very rude,” in a playful tone. Although it looked like a funny moment to some viewers, others felt that Iyer’s actions seemed a bit disrespectful.

During the same interview, Iyer revealed that he cried frantically after the first practice session of the Champions Trophy as he didn’t perform well.

Shreyas Likely To Regain BCCI Contract

The BCCI is reportedly preparing to announce the central contracts for men's cricketers by the end of this month. According to a report by TOI, middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is all set to regain his place in the central contract list. Iyer had missed out on a contract last year reportedly due to disciplinary issues. However, his recent performances have seemingly changed the BCCI’s stance.
