It's heartwarming to see the strong bond between Gautam Gambhir and Shah Rukh Khan, especially in the context of their association with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). 

Gambhir's pivotal role in leading KKR to their first Indian Premier League (IPL) title in 2012 showcased his leadership skills and his deep connection with the team. 

That's where friendship with SRK budded for Gambhir.

Gambhir's latest tweet shows a photo with him, his wife - Natasha Jain - and SRK, highlighting their strong bond. 

The caption "Some bonds last forever! ❤️💜" reflects their deep connection, which goes beyond just cricket and shows their true friendship.


The Gambhir era in KKR

During the early years of the IPL, Gambhir played for Delhi Daredevils while Saurav Ganguly led KKR. Both teams faced challenges initially. However, Gambhir was later chosen to lead KKR after being picked in a mega auction. 

Under his captaincy, KKR formed a winning combination, securing the title in 2012 by defeating CSK in the finals. 

Gambhir effectively utilized spinners like Narine and crafted tactics around them. KKR continued their success in 2014, winning the title again by defeating Punjab in the final.

Since Gambhir's leadership, KKR hasn't clinched any titles. Captains like Dinesh Karthik, Eoin Morgan, and others led the team but without success. Presently, Shreyas Iyer leads KKR. 

To support him, SRK brought back Gambhir, who was with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). SRK has immense trust in Gambhir, often turning to him for advice regarding KKR. Their bond extends beyond business, rooted in a deep personal connection.
