In the 9th match of the IPL 2024 between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, opener David Warner showcased his batting prowess with a stellar knock of 49 runs off just 34 balls. 

Warner's innings was characterised by fluent stroke play and adept placement of the ball, keeping the scoreboard ticking for his team. 

However, his innings came to an end in the 12th over when he fell agonizingly short of a well-deserved half-century. Avesh Khan, bowling for Delhi Capitals, delivered a full-length delivery angling across Warner, tempting him to drive towards cover.

Unfortunately for Warner, he could only manage a thick outside edge, resulting in a sharp catch by Sandeep Sharma at short third man. Despite Warner's disappointment at missing out on his fifty, the catch was confirmed to be clean after a review, signalling the end of his innings.

Warner's departure marked a significant moment in the match, as his aggressive approach had provided DC with a strong foundation.
