Abhishek Sharma responded with a sweet, “Thanks sis,” paired with a red heart emoji, which further solidified their close sibling bond that fans have grown to admire.

Komal has become somewhat of a social media sensation herself, often seen cheering her brother from the stands throughout the IPL 2024 season. Her constant support and infectious enthusiasm caught the eyes of fans, making her a regular face on social platforms.

While Abhishek’s sister stole the limelight on his birthday, Abhishek set the cricketing world ablaze in 2024. Representing Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Punjab-born all-rounder smashed 484 runs at an eye-popping strike rate of 204.21, including 42 sixes—the most in the season.

His performances were nothing short of whirlwind, as he became the talk of the town, eventually earning his maiden call-up to the Indian team for the Zimbabwe tour in July.

The road to his international success wasn’t without bumps, as his debut in the second T20I came with a four-ball duck. However, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and Sharma quickly silenced any critics by roaring back with an explosive 46-ball century in his next game.

The knock, packed with seven boundaries and eight sixes, saw him reach his maiden ton in T20Is. His milestone was reached in style, with three consecutive sixes bringing up the century—an inning that left fans and critics alike marvelling at his talent.
