After a thrilling first Test in Chennai, where India emerged victorious against Bangladesh in the first Test, all eyes are now on the second and final Test of the series. The match will take place at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, starting on September 27.

India, led by captain Rohit Sharma, is keen to secure a clean sweep in the two-match series. Ahead of the clash, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared videos of the team’s practice session, showcasing intense preparation by key players, including Rohit and star batter Virat Kohli.

Kohli And Rohit Practice Intensely In The Nets

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen hitting the nets hard in preparation for the second Test. Kohli, who is going through a challenging phase in his career, looked eager to get back in form. Rohit, who also had a forgettable outing in the first Test, was seen working on his technique ahead of the crucial Kanpur Test.

Virat Kohli's Struggles Continue In Int'l Cricket

Virat Kohli has been struggling in Test cricket. His performance in the Chennai Test was underwhelming, scoring just 6 and 17 in both innings. Returning to Test cricket after an eight-month hiatus, Kohli’s struggles continued in the nets as he faced Indian spinners like Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. He missed several shots and was eventually bowled by Axar, a sign that his battle to regain form is far from over.

With Kohli’s ongoing form issues and Rohit Sharma also struggling with low scores, the pressure is mounting on both senior players. Rohit scored just 6 runs and 5 in the first Test, and his dismissal was equally concerning.

Ahead of the crucial red-ball season, including a home series against New Zealand and Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, both Kohli and Rohit will need to regain their form quickly.
