On this day, last year, Travis Head silenced the Indian team with a blistering knock in the 2023 World Cup final. India were right on top after churning out 3 Australian wickets, but Head stood like a brick wall and destroyed the Indian bowling lineup to clinch the World title for his nation.

On the day of the 2023 World Cup finale anniversary, Head once again reminded the Indian team of his batting prowess as he smashed his Australian teammates in the net session ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Series.

Despite winning the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian fans are still in pain when they get reminded of the finale last year, and Head sprinkled salt on the Indian wounds by showing them how he is preparing for the upcoming India challenge.

Before the start of the series, the Australian side attended the net session and the batters had a great day. The likes of Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith looked in ominous touch, but the best of the lot was Travis Head.

The southpaw was at his aggressive best, just like the finals and took the aggressive route against both the spinners and pacers.

Head, the chief nemesis of India

While the likes of Steve Smith and skipper, Pat Cummins have always troubled the Indian side, Head has quietly gone about his business and has become India's nemesis. In the WTC finals, last year, he scored a blistering hundred and took Australia out of a precarious situation.

Courtesy of his century, Australia went onto win the WTC finals. He once again stood in front of India and an ICC title during the 2023 World Cup finals. He scored 137 off 120 balls and steered Australia home.

During the T20 World Cup 2024 match, Head once again went bonkers against India, but this time, India prevailed in a nerve-wrecking contest. With BGT coming up, Head will once again hold the key for the Aussies.
