We don't often see Gautam Gambhir smile, let alone burst into laughter. However, a recent clip shows him doing that unimaginable job, and it was Dinesh Karthik who made him do it.
In a video where Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ajit Agarkar, RP Singh all were having a fun session recalling their good old days, Karthik revealed an unheard story which left Gambhir in splits.
The wicket-keeper batter, who recently retired from all forms of cricket after an impressive IPL 2024 campaign with RCB, labelled Gambhir 'by far the laziest athlete.' Gambhir immidiately knew where this was going, and he started laughing, so were others.
Then, Karthik told the story, that once Gambhir asked him to pass TV remote despite it was two steps away from him. The KKR mentor was lying on his bed, and when Karthik passed his room, he called him to give it to him so that he could change the channel.

Notably, Gambhir is the frontrunner to replace Rahul Dravid after the T20 World Cup 2024. In fact, as per many reports, his agreement with the BCCI for the vacated role has already been done.
