Team India has arrived in Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium for the impending third ODI of their three-match series against Australia. KL Rahul, who led the team in the first two ODIs, was seen arriving in the Gujarat city with the rest of his teammates as the ‘Men in Blue’ look to conclude their pre-World Cup 2023 campaign on a high.

Notably, the match will also witness the returns of senior Indian players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Team India sets base in Saurashtra Cricket Stadium

The Indian team sealed the series with convincing wins in Mohali and Rajkot without the presence of Virat Kohli and regular skipper Rohit Sharma in the side.

Series heroes KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav as well as local boy Ravindra Jadeja were all seen arriving in Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium for their upcoming dead-rubber against Australia.

Apart from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, fellow senior member Hardik Pandya will also be making his return to the team for the Rajkot affair. Jasprit Bumrah and Shubman Gill, on the other hand, will be rested from the playing XI.

The upcoming match marks the final fixture for both sides ahead of the forthcoming 2023 World Cup. Notably, India and Australia will also launch their respective tournament campaign with a match against each other on October 8 in Chennai.
