Pinpoint yorkers, deadly in-swings and lethal out-swings were the tone of Mohammed Siraj's bowling at the Gujarat Titans (GT) camp ahead of the IPL 2025 season. The Champions Trophy snubbed bowler is here to play the mega tournament and he is serious with the ball.
Gujarat Titans have probably one of the best bowling benches among all of the franchises including pace spearheads like Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna and Siraj. The GT camp is preparing for the big game and Siraj's practice sessions just set the tone for it.
Mohammed Siraj Shines In GT Camp
In a social media video released by Gujarat Titans, Mohammed Siraj, the star India pacer who was released by RCB in the mega auction and was roped in by GT for 12.25 crore struck all the right notes as seen in the clip.
Siraj was seen dismissing batters and beating them with his raw pace. LBWs, Edge, Caught Behind, and bowled out were the results of the deliveries he bowled in the practice sesh.
With such destructive form, after Siraj's religious retreat, hints at revenge, probably from BCCI selectors. Nevertheless, the star bowler will be happy to contribute for the Titans after a decent 2024 outing where he bagged 15 wickets at an economy rate of 9.19.
Siraj To Start Fresh With GT
Mohammed Siraj was a 'gold mine' for RCB as he stuck to the franchise from his debut in 2018, scalping timbers since.
Notably, Siraj managed 93 wickets in his IPL career at an economy rate of 8.65 and a decent T20I strike rate of 21.05 and he will be hungry for more in the upcoming season.
Gujarat Titans will be starting their campaign under their leader Shubman Gill on March 25 against Punjab Kings. The 2022 champions and 2023 runners-up are all set to take the trophy home again after finishing 8th on the points table last season.
