Indian opening batsman Shubman Gill, rejuvenating himself in London after the team’s demoralizing 2023 World Cup final defeat to Australia, was recently spotted taking a stroll in the city. Earlier this week, the cricketer spent time with his friends in London and even caught up with Gujarat Titans teammate Rashid Khan.

Gill will soon be reuniting with his Indian teammates for their forthcoming all-format tour of South Africa.

After senior cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, rising star Shubman Gill also travelled to London to rejuvenate himself with a holiday after India’s World Cup 2023 final defeat last month. Just a day after the 24-year-old batsman was spotted alongside his friends in the city in a viral pic on social media, he was seen enjoying some alone time by taking a casual stroll in the street.

During his London trip, Shubman Gill also caught up with Afghanistan international and IPL teammate Rashid Khan. The star all-rounder recently underwent a back surgery in London where he expressed his delight on seeing his Gujarat Titans teammate and franchise’s newly-elected captain.

Appreciating Gill’s visit, Khan acknowledged the Indian opening batsman as “captain sahab”, thus referring to the latter’s newly designated role as skipper of the Gujarat Titans franchise for IPL 2024 season.

Earlier this month, Shubman Gill was selected in India’s Test and T20I squads for their upcoming tour of South Africa. The youngster will soon be taking flight to the rainbow nation along with the rest of his national teammates, considering India’s tour opener will be played on December 10 at Durban’s Kingsmead Stadium.

Gill was last seen in action for Team India back at the 2023 World Cup. The elegant right-hander pumped out over 350 runs throughout the tournament, and maintained a prolific average of nearly 45.
