No Rohit Sharma As BCCI Announces T20I Squad For South Africa Tour

Team India, who is all set to face South Africa in an away tour, have announced their T20I squad for the South Africa tour on Thursday, November 30. India's tour of South Africa will begin on December 10 with the T20 International series, followed by three ODIs and two Test matches.

It has been confirmed that Rohit Sharma will not lead the 'Men in Blue' in the T20I format during the upcoming South Africa tour, with Suryakumar Yadav continuing as the skipper after impressive outings against Australia in the shortest format.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja - who last played a T20I more than a year ago - has been been recalled as vice-captain for the Proteas tour. The CSK all-rounder has replaced Axar Patel, who is currently playing a pivotal role in the T20I against Australia at home.

Another notable entrant to the squad is Deepak Chahar, who has been named in both the white-ball squads after playing last for India in December 2022.
